Diving and Fishing Village Hotel in isle of Pemba (Tanzania)
The project proposes the establishment
of a tourist village along Vumawimbi beach in the isle of Pemba (Zanzibar).
Its receptive capacity will be of 332 persons. The project consist
of common buiding for the sevices and 43 bungalows of three different
types and 4 two-storey buildings. The walls of the bungalows are pertly
plastered, partly covered with stone, as shown in the drawings. Frames
and bannisters will be in natural wood and the main door of each unit
will be in carved wood in the traditional local style. Roofs in makuti
moreover think that the beauty of vumawimby beach and of Ngezi forest
should not be corrupted by using roof tiles or any other covering
system not commonly used in the area. The common service building
are located orthogonal to the beach, so that both these and the bungalows
